Mens weight loss clinic

Losing weight or dieting is often seen as a woman’s prerogative and very few men will admit to having dieted. Unlike women who tend to put weight on around the hips and thighs, men put weight on around their stomach and chest. This means that weight gain in men is more likely to affect their vital organs. The reality is that extra flab on a man is not only unflattering, but it is bad for health.

Impotence: No more Viagra

Could we ever say “Stop” to Viagra, Cialis, etc. and not to mention all the other love pills which help us men to combat erectile deficit? My guess is that we would find it hard… however terrible puns aside, a new study carried out in Israel by the Rambam Medical Centre in Haifa provides some interesting information on the matter. Now that Viagra has almost monopolised ED treatment over the past decade or so, how does this new option compare and can it really replace l'emblématique comprimé en forme de diamant Pfizer

Results were very surprising and three quarters, that is 15 of the 20 men involved in clinical trials were cured following treatment using sound waves. These men subsequently gave up taking ED medicines altogether and switched to the radical new treatment method.

Firing sound waves into the body, otherwise known as shock-wave therapy, is not a new technique as far as medicine is concerned. The technique known as lithotripsy is used to treat kidney stones and does so by penetrating the skin harmlessly and blasting kidney stones into tiny particles which can be safely passed out of the body in urine. Initial studies on the extended use of shock-wave therapy in other parts of the body have been shown to improve blood circulation. In fact cardiologists are particularly interested in using the treatment to improved damage blood vessels following a cardiovascular event. The procedure is much less invasive compared to other high risk options involved in treating cardiovascular problems, and could provide a safe treatment options for those who are unable to undergo surgery.

Obesity and cancer

The health risks of being overweight are well documented, however a recent study carried out by a leading group of scientists has revealed that the risk of developing cancer is higher in patients who are obese and carry excess fats about their person.

It has long been established that being obese or overweight increases the risk of health problems such high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease and cancer. However, new evidence suggests the strong link between weight and the increased risk of cancer is attributable to excessive body fats. In fact, studies reveal that the risk of cancer is 20% higher in obese patients compared to patients whose weight is within a normal BMI range.

The findings are only preliminary and further tests and studies would have to be carried out in order to better understand the link between fat and cancer. One belief is that fat cells collect carcinogenic toxins and act as a natural waste dump in which bodily poisons accumulate. Another potential cause is linked to increased levels of oestrogen in fat people – oestrogen is a hormone which promotes cell growth. Finally, it is well documented that excess sugars found in overweight people activate a protein in the body which facilitates the emergence of tumours.

Expert advice on winning strategies against cellulite

Cellulite is a big beauty enemy and it does not care whether you are overweight or slim, nor does it discriminate based on age or race. In fact, over half of all women suffer from some degree of cellulite and for many the dreaded orange peel is a real self-esteem issue. Many women try to fight the visible signs of cellulite using scrubs, creams, wraps and even cura medica per il dimagrimento . The beauty industry estimates that after fighting the signs of ageing women spend most of their money trying to combat cellulite.

Whilst there are many studies which suggest non-invasive surface treatments can go a long way to lessening the appearance of cellulite, many doctors also believe that the best results can be seen from changing lifestyle and diet. In fact, the winning weapon against cellulite is simple and does not require too much sacrifice and hard work. All you need is plenty of water, whole grains, vegetables and salmon and other really wholesome foods.

Sounds simple? Well it really is quite easy. The real secret is introducing foods into your regular diet which are best for combating the inflammation of the deep layers of skin under the cellulite. It is important to reduce your intake of processed foods; this is because this type of alimentation aggravates the tissue causing lumps and bumps. Among the good foods, whole grains help to combat intestinal laziness that promotes cellulite by hindering the flow of blood in the legs. They have a low glycaemic index and release sugar slowly to avoid insulin spikes that cause the enlargement of fat cells. The first course is made up of pasta or brown rice or barley. (more...)
